Dear all, since the summer of 2008, the five of us have been Chef’Special. Together, the five of us wrote a fairytale and lived the dream we had as little boys. The five of us in our first band bus, touring through Europe. The five of us spending nights in the studio. The five of us going to America to play in a packed Madison Square Garden. The list of unforgettable memories is long.
Now, 18 years later, Guido has decided to step down as the guitarist of Chef’Special. He is ready for a new chapter. We understand this very well, of course, but it also brings sadness. After all, we have become brothers. Family.
The concert at the AFAS on April 17, 2027, will be his last show and, for the time being, also our last show as a band. We, Jan, Joshua, Wouter, and Wouter, are taking a time-out to think about how we will move forward. We are grateful for the journey the five of us have been able to take, we are going to enjoy our last year together immensely, and we would love to celebrate this with you on April 17, 2027.
